What is an Infrared Report?

We're continuing our series on questions to ask your thermographer to ensure you get the best possible service!

As part of your thermographic imagin scan, you should receive a complete report. You will want to ask when and how you will receive your infrared report. Some companies even ask to look at a sample report prior to hiring their thermographers so they can see and understand exactly what they will get.

There isn't a "standard" infrared scan report format. However, at a minimum infrared and thermal imaging inspections reports should contain the following information:

• Color Infrared Picture
• Color Digital Picture,
• Description of anomaly
• List of scanned equipment
• A Summary letter detailing the results of the inspection.
