Industrial Infrared Thermography

Knowledgeable building and facilities managers agree that Infrared Thermography is a cost-effective solution to locate faults, defects, or even structural issues.  What are its typical applications?

Electrical Systems: The use of infrared thermography can pinpoint overload circuits or faulty electrical connectons

Buildings: Thermal imaging can easily "see" missing insulation, moisture damage, air infiltration (or the escape of heated or cooled air)

Roofs: Using infrared thermography, the source of a roof leak can be found, saving thousands in roof replacement costs

Mechancial Equipment: Thermal images clearly show spikes in heat, showing abnormally warm motors or bearings. Finding potential mechanical equipment failure means they can be fixed BEFORE they fail

Fluid Systems: Infrared imaging systems can locate abnormal pipe temperatures or line blockages

When was the last time you had an infrared inspection done on your facility? If your answer ranges from never to 1 year, it might be time to call in the experts!
